Friend,
For the month of May, Arizona Democrats would like to celebrate the contributions of the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, both of which have played instrumental roles in the development of our nation and the state of Arizona.
We are so grateful for the leadership of people like Senator Daniel Inouye, who fought in WWII as a part of the 442nd Infantry Regiment, Wing F. Ong, the first Chinese-American to be elected to the Arizona State Senate, and the first South Asian Vice President, Kamala Harris.
The Arizona Democratic Party strives to create a government that is truly reflective of the nation of people it represents. The barriers broken by Senator Inouye and State Senator Ong help bring our country one step closer to achieving this.
This month and every month, our party will continue to love, honor, and support the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Together we will continue to build a stronger democracy, prosperous nation, and loving country.
In solidarity,
-- Arizona Democrats
