Daines in Eastern Montana to Discuss
Importance of Ag Jobs
Last week I visited Miles Community College
to hear about their meat processing program that's preparing students to
start their careers in agriculture. It's great to see schools in Montana
providing job training for their students that will allow them to
participate in Montana's number one economic
driver--agriculture!
I was also able to stop into Eastern Montana Meats in Sidney. Despite the challenges of the
pandemic, this locally-owned meat
processing plant opened this year and has been providing good-paying jobs
for folks in the area!
It's great to see
programs and businesses that provide training and jobs for Montanans without
having to leave our great state. I will continue working to create
jobs, reduce burdensome red tape and support Montana's farmers and
ranchers.
