Are you feeling like flowers are gorgeous, and also that more than flowers on one day, moms (and families) need everyday change? MomsRising is here for you. Help build a care infrastructure — like universal childcare and paid family/medical leave — that allows moms, families, and our economy to thrive (and get a card you can share as a last minute gift too) here: https://action.momsrising.org/donate/dedicate_2021/?t=2&akid=15066%2E2840598%2E7wcoqi
Friend,
On this Mother’s Day evening -- as the sun sets and I’m missing my mom who was lost too early and loving my kids to the moon and back -- I’m also just so thankful for each of you.
The past 14 months have been something beyond busy, with many of us juggling doing ALL the things, all at the same time, and all in the same moment. We’ve been facing nearly impossible challenges…. And yet you persisted and still took the time to raise your voice, to get out the vote, to help move forward rescue legislation in Congress, and to shift the axis of our nation toward building the care infrastructure we all need.
Thank you.
You’ve moved mountains. Together, even though we each were juggling more than ever in a pandemic, we still made over 234,000 constituent contacts with members of Congress and shared over 8,500 of our own stories that added up to help pass the American Rescue Plan which is now set to lift 50% of children out of poverty (!!). Together, we helped pass policies that moved COVID vaccines out in equitable ways so we can hug our loved ones on holidays (!!). And together we can build the Care Infrastructure -- including universal paid leave, childcare for all, a $15 minimum wage -- that we, our economy, and our nation so desperately needs (!!).
Now, in honor of Mother’s Day, I invite you to make a donation to power up the hard work of opening avenues for moms to be heard by leaders at the very top so we can build a nation where moms, children, families, and everyone can thrive and we can finally get universal childcare, paid leave for all, raise the wage, fair pay, gun safety, healthcare for everyone, youth and family justice, equitable vaccine distribution, a path to citizenship, home- and community-based care and services for people with disabilities and the aging, a permanent Child Tax Credit, and more.
* When you donate, you can pick an uplifting card graphic to go with your contribution so you can share that you made a contribution for a mom friend, or a mom you love, as a gift to them — and you’ll be giving the gift of powering much-needed change.
As this Mother’s Day comes to a close, know that we are on your side, on your team every single day of the year. Together we have made big changes, often against all odds, including helping to pass the Affordable Care Act that expanded healthcare access to 30 million people and also protecting it more than 50 times when it came under attack. Just imagine what we can do together that will help generations to come as we finally build the care infrastructure that we all need!
Thank you for your contributions of time raising your voices and resources to turbocharge our work for much-needed change!
Together, we are an unstoppable, persistent, insistent force for good. And we are so thankful for the good that we’re doing together through the movement that is MomsRising.
With gratitude,
Kristin

Subject: QUICK VIDEO: Happy Mother’s Day!
Dear Friend,
After getting vaccinated last month, I got a chance to spend 2 weeks with my 11-month old nephew. My dad got to meet him for the very first time. And I was able to hug my sister as she gets ready to celebrate her very first Mother's Day. It made my heart soar.
This time last year, we were living a new "norm," focused on keeping ourselves and our families healthy and safe, while confronting job losses, closed schools, and the constant fear of more bad news. We were in this together and thousands of you checked in to say, “I’m here,” as you pinned yourself on our map and shared your experiences with us. We are deeply grateful for that.
Watch and share this inspiring video that reminds us that when we come together, we are stronger.
We’ve had enormous losses in the last 14 months. We’ll never forget those that have been lost to us during this pandemic. But today, after months of closures, a nail-biting election season and a year that had us making tough decisions about whether or not it was safe to see our families, we are beginning to see what comes next.
We were not meant to be apart and it was hard. Let’s be honest, it is still hard. But light comes in the morning and for many, reunions have been taking place as the country gets vaccinated.
This Mother’s Day, we want to hold all of the hard things we’ve been through in our hearts while finding space to come together, and to celebrate the progress our country is making (and you’ve been successfully pushing) to ensure that we finally build the care infrastructure -- including universal paid leave, childcare for all, a $15 minimum wage, and more -- that we need in order for families and our economy to thrive.
We hope you’ll be enjoying reunions soon, if you haven’t already. Happy Mother’s Day.
In this together,
-- Sili, Kristin, Nate and the whole MomsRising.org/MamásConPoder Team
