John, I wish I had better news for you, but with only hours left until Mother's Day is over, we're still 500 signatures short of our petition goal. Will you add your name right now to demand Congress pass gun safety reforms?

Brady is led by gun violence survivors like me and Christian, and for so many of us, days like today are extremely difficult. It would be easy to log off or put our attention elsewhere — but we share our stories, as survivors, as children who miss their parents, and for me, as a mother myself. We're all here, fighting for every signature we can get, because we know how high the stakes are every day that gun violence goes unchecked in this country, and we don't want others to feel the grief that we do.

With gun safety champions in Congress and the White House, momentum to make real change is stronger than it's been in years. Now is our chance to expand background checks, pass an assault weapons ban — and save lives. But the NRA is putting a $2 million roadblock to that progress that we cannot defeat alone, so we need your support, John. And with time running out, we're still falling short of our goal.

Please, will you end your Mother's Day by helping to honor the mothers — and children and other loved ones — killed by gun violence? All it takes is one click to sign our petition demanding Congress take action to prevent gun violence.
