Hi John,

I wanted to tell you personally about an important legislative update: I recently introduced the Accessible Voting Act in Congress, which will make it easier for seniors, people with disabilities, and immigrant communities to vote.

The right to vote is the bedrock of our democracy, but too often, Americans face unnecessary barriers when trying to access the ballot box. Between gerrymandering, voter roll purges, and restrictions on mail-in ballots, there are far too many obstacles to voting under our current system, and I'm doing everything I can to change that.

The Accessible Voting Act would create a national resource center on accessible voting, enact cultural competency training for election officials and poll workers, and set up disability-friendly, multilingual websites for voting information.

But Republicans don't want this crucial bill to pass -- because they know that voter suppression helps them win elections. That's why they've refused to pass the For the People Act through the Senate, and that's why the PA GOP is gearing up to gerrymander our state this year.
