Today is a day for recognizing some of the most important people in our lives — those who raised us, molded us into the people we are today, and taught us how to take on the world.

Although mothers deserve constant appreciation, women and mothers around the world have had to change their lives in order to help their families and children. Our mothers have become our teachers, our entertainers, and our confidants all while they may be working full time jobs or taking care of themselves and other family members.

If you’re unable to be with your mother or mother figure during this time, don’t forget to let her know how much you love her and remember how much she continues to sacrifice to give you a safe and healthy life.

Join me today in celebrating mothers across our nation! They are the backbone of our families and everyday I am thankful for my mother, grandmother and my wife, who did everything they could to ensure our family could succeed.
