John, Happy Mother’s Day!
Being a mom isn't easy. In fact, it’s gotten so hard to balance (which has never been a word that worked very well in this context) the roles of parent, career, and personal well-being that many moms have simply left the workforce -- temporarily, or for good!
Particularly during the pandemic, mothers and caretakers have been stepping up more than ever to keep those they love safe and nurtured.
So, to all the moms out there -- please know you are appreciated even if you don’t get a lot of bouquets for all your hard work. We are so grateful for you and this is a good day to say so!
With sincere best wishes and thanks,
Ellen
P.S. Special thanks to Louise Rosenblum, my mom, who is turning 96 this summer. She is a COVID survivor, a mom of eight, and a grandma (and great-grandma) of 28! I found a great Wonder Woman Mother’s Day card for her this year -- that says it all!
