After a strong workers-led campaign to unionize Amazon's warehouses failed in Alabama, the paper trail led straight to a covert culprit: Louis DeJoy.
A report from More Perfect Union, a labor rights advocacy group, shows that Amazon leadership asked the Dejoy-led USPS to set up what they call an “illegal ballot drop box during the union election” so they could intimidate workers into voting against unionizing.
DeJoy easily complied -- he's used to selling the USPS out to the highest bidder. Whether by helping Trump lay the groundwork needed to sow distrust in a voting system that's been reliable for decades, or helping billionaires intimidate working families, DeJoy has made a mockery of the nation's most beloved federal agency.
We think it's past time he lost his post. That's why we're supporting Democrats who are putting the pressure on Biden to fire every single Trump-appointed governor on the USPS board who still supports DeJoy.
That's the only way we stop DeJoy from running the USPS into the ground, team -- but we're coming up $1,087 short the funds we need to amplify our efforts.
