John,

Almost one month ago exactly, my daughter Jacqueline was born, making this my wife Spenser’s very first Mother’s Day.

With today being so special for us, I wanted to take just a minute to tell you about her.

Spenser’s an amazing wife, an even better mom, and a damn good lawyer to boot. She’s my best friend and closest confidant, and her big heart makes her the rock of this family.

As we approach our second wedding anniversary, I’m more thankful for her partnership than ever before.

I’m also lucky enough to have another mom I’m thankful for today -- my own mom, Richele.

The first person in her family to go to college, an advocate to end gun violence, and a survivor of breast cancer -- she’s the textbook definition of grit and determination.

The love, support, and wisdom of these two are why I am who I am.

So on this Mother’s Day, I’m wishing you, your family, and whomever you call “Mom” in your life a day filled with joy and love.
