Hey John,

I wanted to send a quick note to wish all of the mothers,
grandmothers, stepmoms, and moms-to-be a Happy Mother's Day
(especially my wife Brittany, who is the most incredible mom to
our kids Cricket and Nelson)!

Mother's Day is a time to celebrate the women in our lives
whose selfless devotion helped us learn, grow, and thrive from
childhood into adulthood. It's also a time to reflect on how we
choose to live our values and think critically about the ways in
which we're working to honor motherhood every single day.

Over the past year, job losses and a lack of affordable child
care have pushed women -- especially women of color -- out of our
workforce by the millions. A lack of affordable health care and
low wages in fields dominated by women have also made it nearly
impossible for millions of working moms to stay afloat during
this pandemic.

If this year has taught us anything, it's that our country
needs to enact fair public policies that recognize and support
the work, sacrifice, and dedication that it takes to be a mother
and raise a family here in the United States.

One day to celebrate moms isn't enough. As your representative,
I promise to continue to honor the women and mothers in my life
by fighting for policies that truly recognize the work and
sacrifices you make every single day. You deserve it, our kids
deserve it, and hard working families deserve it.

Thank you again for all that you do. Happy Mother's Day!
