Dear Friend,
What Rose does every day to make her children’s lives better would be unimaginable for most of us. A single mother of two, she supports Catherine and Evance on less than $2 a day. She makes sure they get to and from school and looks for small jobs to make more income — all while having to worry about getting her family the medications they need to survive.
And when Evance was so sick and on the verge of dying from tuberculosis, she strapped him on her back and walked 10 miles to the nearest hospital.
Thanks to compassionate people like you, health workers in Malawi saved Evance’s life and Project HOPE supported Rose and her children through their long recovery. But more mothers like Rose urgently need help, healing and hope.
That’s why I’m asking you right now to make a gift to Project HOPE. We’re so close to our $10,000 Mother’s Day goal. Your gift today made in honor of mothers like Rose will be matched — every $1 you donate DOUBLES and turns into $2 in lifesaving aid.
Ask any mother or maternal figure what their dreams are for their children, and the answer is almost universal: a life better than their own. Together, we — you and I and Project HOPE — can give mothers like Rose the help they need to care for their children and provide a better future. Please make a special gift in honor of a woman in your life for Mother’s Day before it’s too late.
For mothers, grandmothers, aunts and families everywhere,
