What Rose does every day to make her children’s lives better would be unimaginable for most of us. A single mother of two, she supports Catherine and Evance on less than $2 a day. She makes sure they get to and from school and looks for small jobs to make more income — all while having to worry about getting her family the medications they need to survive.
And when Evance was so sick and on the verge of dying from tuberculosis, she strapped him on her back and walked 10 miles to the nearest hospital.
