Hi John,

We are happy to invite you to the 13th Asia Europe People’s Forum (AEPF13) on 17-24 May 2021, an exciting series of dialogues, plenaries, workshop sessions, actions, policy debates and open spaces.

The AEPF is a strategic network of social movements, progressive NGOs and civil society networks in the two regions that are confronting poverty and inequality, and working for social, economic and climate justice. Members are committed to opening up new venues for dialogue, solidarity and action in an inclusive and democratic way and to building more inclusive voice, influence and access.

Global Justice Now is a member of the International Organising Committee of the AEPF and Co-Convenor of the Thematic Clusters on Just Trade and Corporate Accountability and Climate Justice.

We are happy to announce that for the Opening Session on 17 May, 9-11am BST, we have Dr. Vandana Shiva (India), Jeremy Corbyn (UK), Sai Sam Kham (Myanmar), Lidy Nacpil (The Philippines) and Dr. Charles Santiago (Malaysia) to discuss the global challenges we are all facing and what we must build together to address them.

We recommend joining the two plenaries that we co-organised, which will include speakers from Global Justice Now.

Please help promote the event by inviting your friends and contacts that would be interested
You can retweet AEPF or share the video on Facebook.

The last day, 24 May, will have an Interface with Parliamentarians, which will be attended by progressive MPs and Senators, a Commitment Session and an Online Rally featuring ideas and voices from civil society leaders and progressive artists from the two regions.

We hope to see you there.

Best wishes,

Dorothy Guerrero
