Those words can’t be said enough because this is our success.

We built this campaign on a collective manifesto, powered by Londoners and our Green Party members, and the electorate have spoken. I’m delighted today to be starting my first day at City Hall where I’ll be sitting besides my colleagues Sian Berry and Caroline Russell.

The work starts now. Every day, I promise to be representing Londoners and speaking up for those hidden people who feel marginalised and oppressed. We’ll be holding Sadiq Khan to account on making a fairer deal for renters, tackling the climate emergency and making sure we have a real mission as a capital to ensure a green led recovery.

And this is just the beginning of the bigger picture. As Greens we believe power should be in the hands of the people and as close to our front door as possible. We have local council elections in a year's time and I intend to be out there campaigning to get you elected next. If you’d be interested in running with the Green Party for a council seat, get in touch - because we want to make sure our local election results in May 2022 in West Central London are the best ever.

For today though - it’s a celebration. We can have a few days off and then I will be in touch with details of a meeting to say thank you and update you on my first weeks as your Assembly Member.

Thank you - we should all be very proud of the hopeful, energetic and inspiring campaign we ran for London.
