Stand with us in defending the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem

Dear Supporter,
As salaamu ‘Alaikum,

While more than a billion Muslims celebrate the last nights of the blessed month of Ramadan and anticipate Laylat al-Qadr (the night of power), Israel launches more brutal aggression against the Palestinian worshippers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Moreover, it's still threatening dozens of Palestinian families with imminent forced evictions from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan neighborhoods.

In Israel, there is no justice, and there is no independent and impartial judiciary. It is an apartheid state, practicing violent and criminal ethnic cleansing. Despite this, the worshippers in Palestine, on these blessed nights, stand as resolute banners of redemption and sacrifice in defense of the third sacred sanctuary in Islam and the right to worship freely. Palestinians are exemplifying legendary steadfastness on their land and in their homes despite the brutal Israeli onslaught.

They are upholding their obligation, and we too must uphold ours. Unfortunately, with our tax money, it is the United States that enables Israel to oppress the Palestinian people. This must stop.

Over the past weeks, AMP has been engaged in tireless work with our allies in Congress and through preemptive engagement with the Biden administration to pressure Israel to stop its aggression against the Palestinian people. As a result of these efforts, we have seen dear colleague letters come out of Congress and letters to the State Department demanding a firm stand against Israel's criminal behavior.

More action is yet to come.

The tide in the U.S. is slowly but gradually shifting in favor of Palestine. We can make a difference, and we owe this work to the steadfast people of Palestine.

The mission of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) commenced on the night of power. It was a mission of mercy and justice for man. However, it wasn't an easy one. He and his companions strove, struggled, and sacrificed dearly for it to prevail.

On this potential night of power, we need to follow the Prophet's model.

On this blessed night, help us continue this noble struggle for justice in Palestine. It will take time to achieve, but it can be done. We just need to believe in ourselves, our capability, and our potential. And above all, we need to believe that the Almighty doesn't abandon those who stand for justice and righteousness.

Sincerely,

Dr. Osama Abuirshaid
Executive Director
