We always knew Ron Johnson was a traitor to the American people. But a new report from The Washington Post shows that Johnson deliberately ignored FBI warnings about Russian interference in the 2020 election.
The FBI warned Johnson that he was “a target of Russian disinformation” while Johnson was looking to smear Joe Biden's name. But Johnson claimed the tip was “useless and unnecessary.” Instead, he used his position as a chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee to help Trump spread anti-Biden propaganda about his dealings with Ukraine based on false information from Russian officials.
We're not surprised Johnson sided with Russia to help Trump's chances in the 2020 election. This is the same man who defended Capitol insurrectionists as “people who love this country” and later voted to acquit Trump.
Allowing him to stay in the Senate isn't an option when we know we can win in Wisconsin, team -- so we're going to flip this seat. Johnson only won re-election by 3 points in 2016 -- while Wisconsin's progressive senator, Tammy Baldwin, won re-election in 2018 by 11 points, so we know we're on the winning side.
