John,
President Biden is rightly working to make our judiciary look more like our country does.
As Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I am proud to join in those important efforts.
We need more judges like Ketanji Brown Jackson and Candace Jackson-Akiwumi whose life experiences demonstrate a clear commitment to the evenhanded administration of justice.
But we’ve seen a disturbing pattern so far: Republicans seem to be most opposed to the women of color who President Biden has nominated to serve in key roles in his Cabinet and as judges.
In fact, the Senate GOP has fought tooth and nail against many nominees, including launching false attacks and making spurious claims about their records during committee hearings.
This is one of many reasons we can’t let the Republicans take back the Senate next year.
If the GOP gets its way, the Senate will block all of the President’s qualified, diverse nominees.
John, if we’re going to keep making progress, we’ve got to defend our majority in the Senate. Will you pitch in $5 now to join the fight to keep the Senate blue?
