When we took a look at our fundraising performance last quarter, a few numbers stood out:
Over 300,000 people donated for the first time. Our movement gets so much stronger every time someone recognizes their power and says, "I have a stake in this fight" and chips in for the first time.
Our average contribution was just $26. Those small-dollar donations added up to equal a powerful $24.6 million total raised this quarter.
Another number we're proud of is ZERO. Which is the number of closed-door fundraising events Elizabeth held, and also the number of donations she accepted from Washington lobbyists, corporate PACs, or PACs of any kind.
Together, we are transforming how presidential campaigns are funded. Not by a handful of wealthy donors who can afford to buy a $2,800 ticket to a fancy fundraising event. But instead by hundreds of thousands of grassroots donors who chip in $26 at a time.
