John,
Did you know that zip code is the greatest predictor of life expectancy? Affluent neighborhoods have the power and resources to fight for clean air and water, while low income and minority communities are left in the dust -- literally.
Environmental injustice is a public health crisis, with MILLIONS of Americans lacking access to the necessities: clean water, safe air, and uncontaminated land. Republicans know that hundreds of communities -- communities in their own districts -- lack these rights, and they're trying their hardest to silence any dissent.
Senator Tammy Duckworth, founder of the Environmental Justice Caucus and sponsor of the Environmental Justice for All Act, is taking action. She knows that every American deserves environmental justice, “regardless of their zip code, the size of their wallet or the color of their skin.”
But, Republicans will do anything to prevent the Environmental Justice for All Act, a bill that recognizes environmental inequity and works to stop it. The next generation of Republican leaders, like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, are even more vocal than their predecessors about keeping legislation that actually benefits Americans from passing.
We have to elect more passionate, diverse leaders to Congress -- like Senator Tammy Duckworth -- to silence Republican opposition and fight for long overdue environmental justice legislation. Without your help in this fight, we won't make it.
