In statehouses across the country, Republican legislators are making it harder for people to vote.

While these legislators say their bogus laws will "make voting more secure," we know the truth: they're aiming for fewer marginalized people to access the polls. The sad truth is, their voter suppression tactics might work.

By limiting early voting days, eliminating ballot drop-off points, and making it illegal for volunteers to give voters water while they wait in line (among other egregious new laws), fewer people may turn up to vote.
