Jack,

One year ago in the Senate, our elected officials voted 50-48 to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

Today, I still believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

Votes like the Kavanaugh confirmation have real consequences when not enough women are in a position of power to be heard and to influence our democracy.

And that's exactly what happened: Instead of believing women, the United States Senate confirmed Brett Kavanaugh to the highest court in the land.

Help me make history by powering my campaign: I'm running to be New Mexico's first woman in the Senate. Together, we're never going to let another Brett Kavanaugh in a position to make decisions for a woman or about her body.

There are not enough women in public office, and there are not enough women represented in the Senate. In our nearly 250 years as a nation, only 56 women have ever served as a U.S. senator.

That is unacceptable.

Our country doesn't need more Brett Kavanaughs in office—and in order to ensure that it doesn't ever happen again, we need more women in the Senate when critical votes like Kavanaugh's confirmation take place.

I'm running for Senate because I will never compromise when it comes to women's rights and voices. If you want to put the first woman in the Senate to represent New Mexico—who will never fall silent—I need you to chip in today.

Women make up the majority of voters. We showed up in record numbers to vote in 2018. We donated to power campaigns like never before. And we'll do it again.

When women mobilize, lead, and donate, change happens.

And those Republicans and elected officials who refuse to believe survivors? They lose.

Let's go,

Maggie
