Fellow Conservative,
On Thursday morning, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed SB 90 into law. <[link removed]> This is a huge victory, improving Florida's election process by making it easy to vote and hard to cheat. This new law will:
- Protect absentee ballots by prohibiting political operatives from harvesting ballots.
- Remove the corrupting influence of private money from government election operations, by prohibiting the government from accepting private money to conduct elections.
- Strengthen voter ID on vote-by-mail ballots.
- Increase transparency by giving election observers from all parties full access to monitor the process.

The Left is once again spreading misinformation. But you can get the truth with this “myth vs fact” article <[link removed]> we penned for The Daily Signal.
Texas Election Integrity Gains More Traction
On Friday, the Texas House passed HB 6/SB 7, an important step in sending election reforms to Texas Governor Abbott’s desk. The legislation now heads to a conference committee, where lawmakers will have an opportunity to strengthen the bill with provisions such as voter identification for mail-in voting.
Election safeguards like voter ID enjoy widespread support in Texas, with an overwhelming 81% of Texans supporting voter ID requirements according to a 2019 poll. <[link removed]>

Congressman Chip Roy (R-Texas) released a letter in support of these election integrity efforts in Texas. He praised Texas legislators for supporting the bills that are currently under consideration and encouraged voters to stand their ground against the woke corporations and media who are spreading misinformation about the intent of these bills.

H.R. 1 / S. 1 Markup Meeting Next Week
The Senate Rules Committee's markup meeting for the #CorruptPoliticiansAct (S.1) is on Tuesday, May 11 at 10:00 am ET.
During the meeting, committee members can propose and vote on amendments to S.1, the Corrupt Politicians Act. We can use this meeting as an opportunity to expose the Left’s effort to federalize our elections and rig the rules in their favor.
We need your help in getting the word out about what Democrats are trying to do. You can:
- On May 11, follow along with Heritage Action on Twitter <[link removed]>, Facebook <[link removed]>, and Instagram <[link removed]> and participate by sharing our posts and your own, using the hashtag #CorruptPoliticiansAct.
- Write a letter to your local newspaper editor, highlighting the extreme provisions in S.1. You can find a sample letter to the editor here <[link removed]>.
- Make sure your friends, neighbors, and family know about S.1. – feel free to forward this email.
Reject Critical Race Theory
Critical race theory is a strategy the Left is using to teach children from a young age that their race is the biggest factor that should be used when analyzing all aspects of life. This not only brings identity politics into the education of children in public schools, but it also creates a culture in which our country is driven by racial groups and victimization.
>>>Submit a public comment <[link removed]>opposing the critical race theory priorities put forth by the Biden administration. You can find a sample of how to write a public comment in our Reject CRT toolkit. <[link removed]>
It is so important we keep the Left’s agenda out of public schools. Critical race theory is an indoctrination tactic that needs to be rejected.
Next Week Is Police Week
Sunday is the start of Police Week. At this time, it’s important to remember that Antifa and progressive politicians are still waging war on police, in our streets and in our legislatures.
Last year, we saw an outpouring of grassroots support for law enforcement officers besieged by a dangerous movement to defund and abolish police. 225,000 of you signed the Police Pledge <[link removed]> denouncing “defund the police.” You held patriotic pro-police events, you put up yard signs, and wrote letters to your newspapers.
Your support of police rallied lawmakers and candidates to stand tall and reject the “defund the police” movement. Over 500 candidates and elected officials joined you in signing the police pledge.
This week, remember the police in your community. If you have not already, please sign the police pledge <[link removed]>. And as primary season begins, encourage candidates to join in signing the pledge. Candidates at the federal, state, and local levels are all invited to add their names.
Your hard work does not go unnoticed. Keep going strong!
Jessica and the Heritage Action Team
P.S.––Don’t forget to join in on our Tweetfest on Tuesday as the markup meeting for the #CorruptPoliticiansAct will be live starting at 10:00 am ET.
Join the fight to advance the conservative agenda.
