John, you'll want to see this!
ABC News has been following Cori's arrival in Congress since January. Recently, they published an article about her transition from activist to the first Black woman to represent Missouri in Congress.
The article covers everything Cori has been up to since joining Congress — living through a deadly insurrection, leading a resolution that would investigate and expel members of Congress who attempted to overturn the results of the election and incited the insurrection, introducing or co-sponsoring over 90 pieces of legislation, and fighting for St. Louis. Cori has been unapologetically bold in calling for transformative change in our politics, so it's no surprise ABC News named Cori a leader of the progressive movement.
Cori's fighting for our movement every day, but she needs this grassroots team to have her back. Can you chip in $5 so Cori has the funds she needs to continue leading the fight for economic, environmental, and racial justice?
In the article, Cori spoke about how she is affecting change as the first activist from the movement fighting for Black lives to serve in Congress. Here's one of our favorite quotes:
"I was coming in as a politivist. That means pressure. That means courage. It means advocating for the people… so that’s what I’ll continue to do. Stopping helps no one."
Cori is fighting hard for St. Louis and for progressive change because these issues are personal. Cori understands first-hand the issues that impact our communities the most and will always put her constituents first.
John, this movement is 100% funded by grassroots donors like you. In fact, our average donation is only $18.73 so any gift you can afford will help build our progressive movement.
Together,
Team Cori
