Dear neighbor,

This week is National Nurses Week, when we honor our heroic nurses in CA-33 and throughout the nation for all that they do to keep our communities healthy. In the face of incredible adversity, nurses have risen to the occasion in the battle against COVID-19. I am deeply grateful for the nurses who have risked their lives to care for us during this pandemic.

We also celebrated teachers and educators this week during Teacher Appreciation Week. The past year has been especially challenging for our nation’s educators who’ve gone above and beyond to ensure their students can reach their full potential despite the challenging circumstances. Teachers, nurses, and other essential workers are the true heroes of this pandemic, and we are forever thankful for them.

Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, we are getting children safely back in schools, people in jobs, money in pockets, and shots in arms. With over 250 million vaccine doses administered across the country, America is on the path to recovery.

I’m pleased Los Angeles County has now administered over 8 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccines. Please view the information below to find how your city's vaccination rate compares to others. If you haven’t already been vaccinated, I urge to do so as soon as possible to protect yourself and those around you. The more people vaccinated, the sooner we can return to normal.
