Since we’ve launched our grassroots advocacy campaign to pass the For the People Act, there’s been a steady increase in support for this bill.

A new Data for Progress poll revealed more than 80% of respondents supported democracy proposals in the For the People Act.

That number was only 67% just three months earlier.

In a private meeting, an advisor to Mitch McConnell complained to conservative group leaders that the bill is polling well across the political spectrum. Conservatives are worried because they know if we pass this bill, we can finally ban partisan congressional gerrymandering.

The McConnell strategy is to erode support for this bill to protect conservative politicians like himself.
