This Issue: Video charts numerical impact of Biden immigration plan vs. historical levels

Fri, May 7th

Jeremy's new blog -- Amid a record-setting crisis, a radical increase in immigration -- introduces our new video that charts out the impact of Pres. Biden's immigration proposal that would result in the feds issuing 37 million green cards to immigrants over 10 years.

Introduced as the U.S. Citizenship Act by Bob Menendez of New Jersey in the Senate and Linda Sanchez of California in the House, Pres. Biden pushed for passage of the bill during his address to Congress last week.

On day one of my presidency, I kept my commitments on a comprehensive immigration bill to the U.S. Congress. If you believe we need to secure the border, pass it, because it has a lot of money for high-tech border security. If you believe in a pathway to citizenship, over 11 million undocumented folks, the vast majority are overstaying visas, pass it.

-- Pres. Joe Biden (April 28, 2021)

Of course, Biden's claim that "the vast majority" of illegal aliens overstayed a visa is wrong. At most, experts say 50% of illegal aliens overstayed a visa; the rest entered the country illegally.

APRIL 'NEW JOBS' WELL SHORT OF EXPECTATIONS

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released April job numbers today, and economists were predicting a massive number of new jobs added (potentially more than 1 million) with most states loosening COVID-19 restrictions.

However, the actual number fell well-short of predictions -- only 266,000 jobs created.

According to this morning's report, 151.1 million Americans are currently working. That's more than 7.5 million fewer workers than February of last year.

As the House of Representatives was about to pass two amnesty bills back in March for a combined 4 million plus illegal aliens, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler said, "we do have a crisis in this country. The crisis consists of a shortage of workers."

Sadly, despite today's jobs report, we're likely to see more ridiculous claims like Chairman Nadler's over the next several months as immigration-expansion groups spend tens of millions of dollars advocating for amnesty and more foreign workers.
