Earlier this week in a moment of frankness Mitch McConnell discussed his priorities with press — McConnell told reporters he is "100 percent" focused "on stopping this new administration."

Sound familiar? That’s because it is.

In an interview two years into President Obama’s first term Mitch McConnell was asked about his goal. And he answered: “the single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

Well, here we go again. McConnell has no interest in working together with Democrats to deliver for the American people. He’s hell-bent on one thing — retaking the Senate gavel and hamstringing President Biden’s progressive agenda.

We can’t let that happen. Will you chip in whatever you can today to help protect our Senate majority and keep the gavel out of Mitch McConnell’s hands?

Over the last few months, my Democratic colleagues and I have worked with the Biden Administration to turn the corner on the pandemic and deliver for the American people. And we are just getting started.

But Mitch isn’t interested in any of that progress. He just said it himself. He’s “100 percent” focused on trying to make sure this administration fails.

So if we’re going to keep building on the important progress we’ve made, then we need to keep the Senate gavel out of Mitch McConnell’s hands.

Can you chip in whatever amount you can to help make sure we’re prepared for the fight ahead to protect and expand our Senate majority?

A lot is riding on this 2022 election. Thank you for staying in this fight.
