Hey John, this is Jake.

My team sent you a message earlier this week about Teacher Appreciation Week
and the groundbreaking investments Governor Holcomb is making in Hoosier
education.

Did you see it?

Under Indiana's latest budget, teachers are getting raises, education-related
debt is being paid down, and schools are receiving a MAJOR boost in critical
funding!

Governor Holcomb believes that education is the most important investment we
can make in Indiana’s future, and he couldn’t be any more excited about what’s
next for Hoosier teachers, students, and parents under this budget.

If you haven’t already, will you join us in celebrating Teacher Appreciation
Week by adding your name to thank Hoosier teachers for all their hard work?

Thanks,

John,

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week ––  a chance for us to recognize and celebrate
the thousands of Hoosier educators who do so much for our students and our
communities!

We can’t thank teachers enough for all their hard work and dedication,
especially during this past year filled with challenges unlike any we’ve ever
faced.

But education is more than just essential.

It’s the MOST significant investment we can make in our future, and that’s why
Governor Holcomb is investing in education at a record high level in Indiana’s
new budget.

When it comes to education in the 2021 legislative session Governor Holcomb:

* Added $1.9 billion in NEW money to K-12 education
* Fully funded K-12 public schools
* Expanded the nation’s best school choice program, covering 48,000 Hoosier
students
* Increased K-12 tuition support by $1.03 billion
* Required schools to direct 45% of tuition support to teacher pay
* Recommended all new teacher salaries start at $40,000
In the words of Governor Holcomb, these historic pay raises for teachers and
K-12 funding boosts for schools are “game changers.”

The positive impacts from these investments will be felt decades down the road
in the form of a more skilled workforce, a stronger economy, and a brighter
future for all Hoosiers.

John, before you go, will you join us in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week
by adding your name to thank Hoosier teachers for all they do for our students?
