Ohio Republicans just introduced major voter suppression Legislation. Some of the restrictions include:

  • Eliminating the most popular day of early voting
  • Slashing the time to request absentee ballots
  • Limiting use of drop boxes

Ohioans are already silenced by some of the most restrictive voting laws in the country, registration purges, and severe gerrymandering. The last thing we need are even more barriers to our democratic rights.

 

I’m calling on Governor Mike DeWine, Senate President Matt Huffman, House Speaker Bob Cupp and the Ohio State Legislature to oppose this new voter suppression effort. Will you join me by signing our petition today?

Ohioans made it clear when we overwhelmingly passed Issue One: our state wants fair elections where all our voices are heard. Our leaders should be protecting and strengthening the right to vote, not putting more barriers between us and the ballot box.
