Towpath diversion
The towpath from Meadow Lane to Great Northern Close is currently closed to cycles, buggies, and users with limited mobility, until December 2021.
The Canal and River Trust and Nottingham City Council agreed to temporarily close the path to enable developer Conygar to carry out works on the first phase of the Island Quarter development.
A diversion is in place along Arkwright Walk. The diversion map is below, with the red line representing the affected section and the blue line the diversionary routes.

🚋NET track works
- Work to replace tram tracks close to the Lace Market stop are taking place from 29 April until Monday 10 May. For more information visit NET's website.
- During this time, NCT's 'City Loop' services are unable to serve Fletcher Gate or George Street. Visit their website for more information.
Roadworks
Saturday 20 February - June 2021: Nuthall Road/Western Boulevard junction
Temporary traffic signals will be installed, to be in place until June, while work is carried out to install new permanent signals. Temporary pedestrian crossings will be provided.
This is part of a scheme to improve traffic flow and bus journey times at this busy junction.
Monday 7 September - Wednesday 28 July 2021: Cobden Street (Lenton)
Suspension of parking along Cobden Street to Stanfield Street junction on both sides due to demolition and redevelopment of old martial arts centre.
Monday 22 March - Autumn 2021: Valley Road (Basford)
We're carrying out works on the footpath that runs along Valley Road, including widening and resurfacing. A lane closure will be in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm. For more information visit our webpage.

Three way signals at the junction with Woodborough Road due to full refurbishment of traffic signalised junction.

Four way signals at the junction with Trowell Road to lay new track in the footway and carriageway
Monday 26 April - Friday 14 May: Edwards Lane (Sherwood)
Three way signals between Ribblesdale Road and Weaving Gardens due to new gas connection.
Wednesday 28 April - Sunday 9 May: Radford Boulevard (Radford)
Southbound road closure from Ilkeston Road to Denman Street Central junction due to electrical works. Northbound travel only.
Friday 30 April - Thursday 13 May: Glaisdale Drive West (Wollaton)
Three way signals at the junction of Glaisdale Parkway to rectify road crossing defects and make permanent reinstatement.
Tuesday 4 May - Thursday 13 May: Russell Drive (Wollaton)
Three way signals at the junctions of Pembury Drive and Pond Way for road crossing at Bellmouth.
Tuesday 4 May - Saturday 15 May: Pedmore Valley (Bestwood)

Two way signals outside no.266 due to new water connections.
Western Power Distribution replacement programme
Western Power Distribution will be undertaking a major project to replace the 132kv cable on various roads in the city. This will include a rolling Road Closure along the route to excavate, install ducts & cables in the highway.

Rolling road closure in place from the junction of Sherwin Road to the junction of Ilkeston Road.
Thursday 22 April - Monday 24 May: Bobbers Mill Road
Rolling road closure from the junction of Alfreton Road to the junction of Ashwell Gardens.

Road closure from the junction of Radford Boulevard to the junction of Churchfield Lane.
Wednesday 12 May - Monday 17 May: Wilkinson Street
Multi way traffic signals at the junction of Gauntley Street to Radford Road.
Tuesday 18 May - Monday 24 May: Sherwin Road
Multi way traffic signals from the junction of Hungerton Street to the junction with Lenton Boulevard.
Monday 24 May - Tuesday 29 June: Radford Road
Rolling road closure from the junction of Wilkinson Street to outside the substation adjacent to no.630.
Highways England Clifton Bridge repairs
Highways England is continuing to carry out works to repair and strengthen the A52 Clifton Bridge.
