John,
House Democrats are ready to act to rein in Big Pharma’s greed and lower drug prices for everyone. But what about the Senate?
Right now, out-of-pocket healthcare costs take up over 40% of the average Social Security check. And, if left unchecked, that percentage will rise to 50% within the next decade.[1]
Read Michael’s email below, explaining how the House is poised to take on Big Pharma, then sign the petition today demanding the Senate get on board.
Thank you for taking action today to protect the American people from Big Pharma’s runaway greed.

Tell the U.S. Senate:
“The American people pay more than twice as much for prescription drugs as the rest of the world. We demand you join your House colleagues in taking immediate action to protect the American people from Big Pharma’s price gouging.”

John,
Democrats ran on a promise to take on Big Pharma and rein in out of control drug prices. Now is the time to act on that promise.
Last week, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi expressed “big interest” in addressing runaway drug prices this year.[1] And Rep. Frank Pallone, the powerful chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, indicated he’d use “whatever vehicle [he] can” to take on Big Pharma’s price gouging.[2]
House Democrats are ready to act on Medicare drug price negotiation as part of their bold plan to lower drug prices for everyone. It’s time for the Senate to get on board.
Join us in calling on the U.S. Senate to support bold drug pricing reforms to save the American people from Big Pharma’s price gouging.
Right now, we pay more than twice as much for prescription drugs in the U.S. compared to other countries. And, if nothing is done, drug prices and other out-of-pocket medical costs are going to consume over half the average Social Security check by 2030.[3]
The House bill, the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act (H.R.3), would allow the Secretary of Health and Human Services to negotiate prices on up to 250 drugs annually―lowering drug prices for Medicare recipients as well as others purchasing the same drugs.
It would require pharmaceutical corporations to undo other price hikes on drugs covered under Medicare Parts B and D, and would place a cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs on drugs covered by Medicare Part D.
House Democrats are ready to act―honoring their promise to the American people by reining in Big Pharma’s price gouging. But Big Pharma is plotting to kill the bill in the Senate, and they’re already applying pressure—so we need to make our voices heard!
Sign the petition to tell your Senators to get on board and join their House colleagues in lowering prescription drug costs.
This is our opportunity to take on Big Pharma’s greed and lower drug prices for everyone in America. Thank you for taking action today.
