Friend, what we heard yesterday from India was beyond devastating: In just 24 hours, 412,000 new cases and 4,000 deaths were confirmed.

The country’s health care system is severely overstrained by this crushing second coronavirus wave. Train cars and banquet halls are now emergency wards. Exams are on hold so trainee doctors and nurses can treat patients. And last week, one hospital was within 30 minutes of completely running out of oxygen before a new supply was delivered.
