By almost every available data point, 2021 was a tide-turning year for the state of Texas, especially when it comes to one important metric: Voter turnout.

We shattered records last November, and while there’s certainly no sugarcoating our losses, there’s also no denying that the momentum is on our side now. And that’s why I’m emailing you today -- because Republicans in Texas are terrified of that momentum, and they’re trying to stop us.

There are currently more than 50 bills that seek to restrict our right to vote making their way through the state legislature. The GOP is explicitly targeting Democratic voters and BIPOC to rig the system.

We can fight back, but the time to mobilize is now. This weekend in Austin and Houston, voters, lawmakers, and advocates are gathering together for a statewide day of action to protect the right to vote. Can you make it?
