VICTORIES IN TEXAS & NEBRASKA

Huge victories in Texas last weekend: Victory Fund endorsed incumbents Elias Diaz of Eagle Pass and Chad West of Dallas won reelection to their City Council seats!

Spotlight candidate Jalen McKee-Rodriguez advanced to the run off in his race for the San Antonio City Council! Jalen received over 800 more votes than the incumbent, who fired Jalen after he spoke out against homophobia in office.

In Pasadena, Jonathan Estrada advanced in his runoff, receiving the most votes for City Council District E. Read his note for supporters and learn about next steps here!

In Lincoln, Nebraska, LGBTQ candidates ruled the night! Incumbent Sändra Washington and Tom Beckius were the top vote getters, cementing their wins. Watch Sändra’s thank you video and read Tom’s note to supporters here!

 

IMPENDING ELECTION DAYS

Mark your calendars for May 18th: Tyler Titus will be on the ballot in PA! Tyler hosted a Reddit AMA to answer policy questions, discuss mental health awareness and much more. Read all of their responses here!

Mark Levine, our candidate for Virginia Lt. Governor, joined the Alexandra Democratic Committee to answer questions and show voters why he’s best candidate for the role! You can watch Mark’s Q&A here (starting at minute 36). Election Day is June 8th!

Another big week of endorsements for Corey Johnson in his race for New York City Comptroller: TWU Local 100 and the Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club are standing with him!

Brad Hoylman rejected Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s offer to debate in his race for Manhattan Borough President. Hoylman is pushing legislation in the NY State Senate to require vaccinations in returning college students, while Kennedy is a notorious anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist. Hoylman also announced endorsements from Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal and a slew of Broadway performers!

Crystal Hudson also announced three big endorsements: U.S Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, Amplify Her NYC and the Freelancers Union are all supporting her race for New York City Council District 35!
