Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
Whoever reads Surah al Kahf on the day of Jummah will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.
(al-Jaami)

By reading Surah Al-Kahf, we are taught lessons on the trials of faith, wealth, knowledge and authority. Besides the special rewards and benefits that come from its recitation, an understanding of its content can also help us extract valuable lessons that can help in shaping one’s life towards the path of righteousness.

At the Muslim Council of Britain, we strive to empower, connect and advocate for our network of affiliates across the UK, bringing the wider communities of which we are part together in pursuit of a more just society for all. You can support the expansive range of works undertaken by the MCB and help us grow our capacities to meet the urgent needs of our communities.

Your support will help us develop mosques through capacity building initiatives like Our Mosques Our Future conference, bring communities together through national campaigns like Visit My Mosque, tackle Islamophobia in the media through our dedicated Centre for Media Monitoring and run transformative projects like the Women in Mosques Development Programme, that cultivates the women mosque leaders of tomorrow, and Proudly Muslim and Black, which celebrates Black Muslim communities and addresses the anti-Black racism within our midst.

Make a difference with the MCB this Ramadan, support us as we continue to strive to serve Muslim communities across the UK:

The Sacred 10 ([link removed])

The Sacred Ten nights have begun and Laylatul Qadr, ’The Night of Power/Decree’, is upon us.

A night nestled within the final ten nights of Ramadan, it transpires on an odd night, its exact date unknown.

The night on which the Almighty chose to reveal the Qur’an to Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

A night so blessed, the Malikaat [angels], and Spirit [Jibreel | Gabriel] descend from the heavens delivering salaams upon worshippers.

A night on which He decides the destiny of His creation, on which worship brings more reward than a thousand months of worship.

Make a difference with the MCB this Ramadan and automate your donations to get the most of these blessed nights - support us as we continue to strive to serve Muslim communities across the UK
