Dear John,

Many of you have asked where I stand on replacing our Conference Chair in the House.

Below is my statement:

“I am glad to see many in our Republican Conference in the House apparently recognizing that we need to remove our Conference Chair and fill that position with someone who 1) reflects the conservative views of the majority of our membership, 2) embraces the America First Agenda, and 3) will enable us to unite and focus on fighting the radical Democrat agenda and earn the majority in 2022.

We must separate the clear need to remove the current Conference Chair from a thoughtful, deliberative, and healthy debate within our membership regarding candidates for replacement. Vice-chair Mike Johnson (LA) should temporarily step into the Chair, as we work through the process and consider all options.

We must not rush into a de-facto coronation of any handpicked replacement whose voting record does not reflect the views of the conference. We must select someone who will wholeheartedly support the conservative membership and who will also be an effective messenger.”
For God and Country,

Bob
