Heidi Crowter’s landmark case to be heard in July ()
[link removed]

On Tuesday, it was announced that a landmark case by disability rights campaigner Heidi Crowter against the UK’s discriminatory abortion law will be heard by the Hight Court in London on 6th July.

The case revolves around the discrimination in the law that permits abortion up to birth where an unborn baby is detected with a disability, while there is a general 24-week time limit in other situations.

Heidi Crowder is joined by Máire Lea-Wilson is taking the landmark case. Máire’s twenty-three-month-old son Aidan has Down’s syndrome and she has spoken publicly about how she was “placed under intense pressure” to have an abortion after a 34-week scan revealed her son had Down’s syndrome. She added: “I have two sons that I love and value equally, but the law does not value them equally. This is wrong and so we want to try and change that…We proclaim that we live in a society that values those with disabilities, that everyone deserves a fair and equal chance at life, regardless of their ability status. This law undermines that narrative, does it really have a place in 2021?”

Commenting on the case and as someone with Down syndrome, Ms Crowter said: “People like me are considered to be ‘seriously handicapped’, but I think using that phrase for a clause in abortion law is so out of date…People shouldn’t be treated differently because of their disabilities, it’s downright discrimination”.

The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities has repeatedly criticised countries that allow abortion on the basis of disability.

The outcome of July’s case will be followed with considerable interest both in England and internationally.
Former abortion supporters explain what changed their minds ()

The US group, Secular Pro-Life, recently asked its followers who once supported abortion what made them change their minds. The question prompted considerable interest and led to some fascinating replies. Here’s a flavour of what respondents said:

Maribel L.: First sonogram of my little bean, who we then lost. Completely solidified when I saw my 26 weeker grow in an incubator. I saw his eyelashes grow out during his stay. You can’t convince me that is NOT a person in the womb, no matter the gestational age.

Chad K.: Science made me change my mind.

KC K.: Hearing conversion stories from former abortionists, especially Dr Bernard Nathanson.

Lynn W.: Found out how MANY abortions were done, and then decided one was too many, after befriending numerous women who experienced long-lasting trauma from their abortions.

William A.: Their rhetoric is convincing if you don’t think about it. The “abortions will still happen even if you make them illegal” was convincing to me for a long time till I realized if we apply that logic equally nothing may as well be illegal.

Lisa D.: When safe, legal, and rare became commonplace, desirable, and celebrated.

New exposé from Center for Medical Progress about dark and grotesque experiments on aborted babies ()

A new video from the Center for Medical Progress exposes the dark and grotesque experiments taking place at the University of Pittsburgh involving scalping five-month aborted babies and implanting their scalps onto rodents.

The revelations have prompted political leaders in Pennsylvania to demand an investigation into what’s been reported and there have been calls for the university to immediately suspend its experiments using aborted baby body parts.

In a statement, the Center for Medical Progress said: “Publicly available information demonstrates that Pitt [University of Pittsburgh] hosts some of the most barbaric experiments carried out on aborted human infants, including scalping 5-month-old aborted fetuses to stitch onto lab rats.”

The information comes from a study that University of Pittsburgh researchers published in September 2020 in the journal “Scientific Reports.” It describes how scientists used scalps from aborted babies to create “humanized” mice and rats to study the human immune system.

Along with the study, the researchers published photos of their experiment – horrific images that show tufts of babies’ hair growing on the rodents.

The Center for Medical Progress, headed by David Daleiden, has been to the forefront in recent years in exposing Planned Parenthood and others regarding the sale of body parts of aborted babies to researchers without informing the mothers of the babies what they intended to use the remains of the baby for after the abortion.

The latest disclosures from the Center for Medical Progress also suggests that the University of Pittsburgh and the local Planned Parenthood clinic, which supplies aborted baby body parts, may be involved in an “illegal quid pro quo” partnership.
