John — Fundraising is not my favorite part of serving in Congress.
Ha! That’s an understatement. It’s actually one of my least favorite parts.
I prefer to stay focused on issues that impact our everyday lives, such as introducing critical legislation to demilitarize the police, enforce fair labor practices, and reform our grand jury system.
But the truth of the matter is that organizing in a competitive state like Georgia requires significant investments and I don’t want to turn to special interests to fund my campaigns — I want our efforts to be powered by everyday Americans.
That’s why I truly appreciate every single one of you who is a part of this movement. Whether you donated $5 or $100, signed a petition, or just followed along with our emails — thank you. I couldn’t do this without you.
The fights ahead won’t be easy. We are looking to reform the Supreme Court, fix our broken policing system, and defend the rights of content creators. This is tough work, and Republicans will look to trip us up every step of the way. If you weren’t able to donate before our April Deadline, will you pitch in a donation now to help our efforts in May?
In solidarity,
Hank
