John,

The abortion industry has been trying a new tactic the last few years, especially where 40 Days for Life vigils are held--playing the God card.

Of all the shameful and bizarre ways to mold God to ourselves, getting clergy to bless an abortion facility is becoming a popular mockery of our Lord.

A group of pro-abortion clergy “blessed” the Whole Woman's Health abortion facility in McAllen, Texas this week.

The supposed blessing was really nothing more than a publicity stunt. Reporters from national and local media outlets took the bait, heralding the event as "a major twist in the constant battle over abortion rights."

Like all pro-abortion demonstrations and media spectacles, the clinic blessing came and went. But the McAllen 40 Days for Life campaign team is still there all day, every day (and has been for years).

The true blessing of this facility is the prayer presence...it's a blessing for women, babies, and its future closing--for good.

Madrid, Spain

Nayeli in Madrid said the campaign's first day was difficult as many vigil participants had never prayed in front of an abortion center before.

Their sadness was transformed into strength and resolve.

"The campaign is going really well," Nayeli said. "About 200 people have participated so far. They are filling all the hours."

Better yet, two babies might have been saved from abortion. Prayer warriors haven't been able to confirm, but they entrust these moms and babies to God's grace and mercy.

"One of the volunteers asked me this morning, 'What is your favorite day of the week during the vigil?'" wrote Rich, the Sarasota leader.

"Sunday," he responded. "Planned Parenthood is closed. It's quiet, and I can really focus on my prayer."

It's important to be a witness when the abortion facility is open. But God listens to our prayers seven days a week. Consider honoring the Lord on His day by signing up to pray at your nearest 40 Days for Life campaign today!

My power is made perfect in weakness.

—2 Corinthians 12:9

Lord, during these forty days, we ask that with each day of this sacred vigil, everything in us that separates us from your perfect will would be pruned from our hearts and souls. In this blessed freedom may we experience a powerful anointing of your Holy Spirit.
