Just Texas [[link removed]]
[[link removed]]Dear John,
For too long, highly vocal extremist minorities in Texas have claimed to represent the only faith-based position on reproductive rights and choice: attacking policies that ensure safe and affordable abortion care and family planning. I believe, and the data suggests, most Texans of faith disagree.
That's why earlier this week, I was joined at the steps of the Texas Capitol by faith leaders in our Just Texas program . We were there as the Legislature prepared to vote on several abortion restriction bills, some of which are so extreme that they pratically amount to an outright ban on the procedure.

No matter what happens to anti-abortion legislation, Just Texas isn't going away. This program of the Texas Freedom Network, founded to bring together progressive people of faith and faith leaders from diverse religious traditions to speak publicly and politically in support of reproductive freedom and LGBTQ equality for all Texans , is and will continue to change the narrative about what people of faith believe.
This is critically important work in a year when Texans continue to recover from the failure of our power grid and deal with an ongoing global pandemic. And yet, shamelessly, our lawmakers focus on assaulting health care access.
John, will you please consider making a gift to TFN’s Rapid Response Fund today [[link removed]] ? Your support and activism will amplify our prophetic, progressive and powerful voices of faith.
Creating a more just Texas,
