The Congressional maps will be redrawn before 2022.

John — For the first time in our state’s history, California will lose a Congressional seat.

How did this happen? After last year’s census was taken, the U.S. Census Bureau recently announced new apportionment figures to determine how many representatives states should have in Congress based on their populations.

With the stakes already so high heading into the 2022 midterm elections, there’s now an added twist as California’s Congressional map changes and we lose a seat in the House.

Simply put, we have very few clues as to what to expect and how this could end up impacting Barbara and the 13th District.

That’s why today, we’re ramping up our 2022 midterm election fund so we’re prepared for anything that comes our way as California’s districts are shifted and redrawn.

Keeping Barbara fighting for our progressive values in the House and protecting the Democratic majority are our top priorities. But this latest twist for California could jeopardize our plans.

Will you chip in to help Barbara and Democrats win no matter what the Congressional map looks like next year?
