The 9/11 terror attacks had a drastic impact on the society of the United States. Americans who were alive at the time can still vividly recall what they were doing on that fateful morning. Along with individual memories, 9/11 has also shaped our national memory. This eLesson ([link removed]) features magazine covers from The New Yorker depicting illustrations related to the terror attack. How—if at all—have Americans’ perception of the event changed over time?
