George Floyd shouldn't have lost his life. And it's on us to prevent things like this from happening ever again. That's why in honor of him -- and the countless others -- it's long overdue that we pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.
This bill creates the transparency and accountability in policing that we've long needed. This is just the first step to building trust between our police and our communities. So long as this trust is built, we can move toward a more just and equitable society.
