Dear John,
Being a mom is one of the most rewarding experiences in life, but it can also be overwhelming at times. We know it takes a village to raise a child, but not every mom has that kind of support in her life. This is especially true now as the COVID-19 crisis continues to add new challenges and stressors to daily life and cut us off from the communities we rely on.
The new moms we serve in our doula and home visiting programs, many of whom live in under-resourced communities, work hard to make a better life for themselves and their children. These moms are with their children every step of the way providing love and support, but they need our help. |
