BREAKING FROM THE WASHINGTON POST:
"Florida’s DeSantis signs new voting restrictions into law"

URGENT ADVOCACY GOAL – 413 SIGNATURES NEEDED BY 11:59 P.M. TONIGHT:

SIGN THE PETITION TO DEFEND VOTING RIGHTS IN FLORIDA >>

The same attack on voting rights that happened in Georgia is happening here in Florida, friend – and I am reaching out with an urgent request: Fight back.

This morning, far-right governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill passed by extremist Republicans in the Florida Legislature that makes it exponentially more difficult to vote: from adding new ID requirements to limiting who can vote by mail to restricting ballot drop boxes.

All of this adds up to one singular and dangerous consequence: Millions of voters will find it harder to be heard in the Sunshine State, primarily Black voters and other voters of color.

The GOP's attempt to hinder your right to vote is abominable: If Republicans were confident in their policies and leadership, they wouldn't need to try and silence your vote. Inaction is not an option here, friend.

I need everybody reading this email – including you – to join me in protecting our right to vote by signing this urgent petition by 11:59 p.m. tonight: So please, will you add your name to my petition right now to oppose these voter suppression tactics and defend the right to vote for every Floridian?

Moments like this are when each of us must speak truth to power. Thank you for doing your part.
