Recently, COVID-19 cases have surged in India and other areas of South Asia, resulting in widespread lockdowns to slow the spread of the virus. For people already struggling because of hunger and poverty, the mandate to stay home prevents them from working to provide for the basic needs of their families. In addition, the pandemic is causing hospitals and clinics to quickly deplete the supplies required to care for sick patients.

Unto® team members are in close contact with local staff members in South Asia to determine what supplies will best serve people affected by the pandemic and fulfill the needs of healthcare facilities.

We invite you to partner with us to provide people with critical aid like meals, water filters, masks, hand sanitizer, and medical supplies. Items like these will help relieve suffering for people who are unable to move about and obtain food or hygiene supplies and to supply hospital and clinic workers with essential healthcare items.

Unto is already positioned to equip in-country teams with resources because we provide critical aid and coaching to Cru® staff members who live and serve in the affected region. Their long-term relationships with local leaders, churches, and individuals allow them to mobilize quickly to help in times like these.

Critical aid will be personally delivered by in-country staff members and put into the hands of hungry or struggling families and distributed to healthcare facilities, providing lifesaving assistance and creating opportunities for the eternal hope of Jesus to be shared.
