This week is Small Business Week, and it goes without saying -- the past year has been particularly challenging for small businesses. 

When activities we once took for granted -- like going out to dinner or going to a concert -- became dangerous for our public health, it took an economic toll on small businesses.

Mikie heard from New Jersey small business owners about how the pandemic has affected them, and she took action. 

Working with Congress and the Biden Administration, Mikie helped pass the American Rescue Plan and delivered financial assistance for restaurants and bars and expanded PPP loans and emergency grants for small businesses.

Because of the American Rescue Plan, small businesses have been able to adapt their business to accommodate our new, socially distanced safety protocols; and continue making their meaningful contributions to our communities.
