The New York Times: “Nearly four months after Jan. 6, Mr. McCarthy continues to defend his support for Mr. Trump's bogus assertions that the election was stolen from him.”
Kevin McCarthy is still amplifying the Big Lie, every day. He's five seats away from taking the House majority, and the GOP is already referring to him as the “speaker in waiting.”
When Rep. Lauren Boebert threatened to “carry her glock to Congress,” McCarthy supported her.
When Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called to execute Speaker Pelosi and hung transphobic propaganda in Congress, McCarthy did nothing.
Now, as Rep. Matt Gaetz is being investigated for sex trafficking a minor, McCarthy is doing nothing.
We can't allow the man who's been protecting insurrectionists and promoting a big lie about our elections to control an entire chamber in Congress -- our democracy won't survive it.
Democrats have been working around the clock to pass progressive legislation that will undo years of Trump's damage and put us on a path to recovery. It's time for a change, and millions of Americans agree. But the NRCC raised over $33 million in the first months of the cycle to flip the House, and we need to double our efforts if we want to continue moving forward instead of backwards.
