We know that too many Americans skip visits to their doctors because of the cost. It's also common for people to put off retirement because they’re afraid to lose their employer-sponsored health insurance.

Recently, I reintroduced a plan that would help right those wrongs by lowering the eligibility age for Medicare to 50, allowing millions more Americans to choose Medicare.

More than 77% of Americans support lowering the age for Medicare eligibility. If you do, too, please sign on with your support today >> [[link removed]]

Americans in this age group are often in a tough spot -- they’re at the cusp of retirement and at an age when health care expenses tend to rise. Many are forced to retire early due to layoffs or mandatory retirement, causing them to lose employer-provided insurance.

By lowering the eligibility age for Medicare, millions more Americans approaching retirement would have a reliable option for affordable health care coverage. It would also strengthen the Affordable Care Act and fold a healthier group of people on to Medicare, potentially lowering costs for everyone.

We need to show Congress the overwhelming public support behind giving more people the chance to choose Medicare. Please -- add your name today if you think it’s time to let younger people enroll in Medicare. [[link removed]]
