Hi John,
We launched Mobile Messaging on Action Network one year ago, creating a true dual-channel toolset that allows you to engage your activists with mobile messages as well as email. And a lot has happened since!
In June 2020, the Poor People’s Campaign used mobile messaging to stage one of the largest virtual rallies ever, with over 2.5 million views, 300,000 letters to elected officials, and 40,000 (virtual) marchers.

In November 2020, we rolled out huge improvements to the Mobile Inbox, making it even easier to connect with your supporters and manage replies. We also added Ladder templates and shortcuts that allow you to set up automated mobile conversations with your supporters in minutes.
And our most recent updates make Mobile Messaging more powerful than ever! Now you can use Text-To-Take-Action — sometimes called ‘text-to-join’ or ‘keyword texting’ — to supercharge your list-building, schedule your mobile messages by timezone to ensure that your messages arrive at an appropriate time for your activists, no matter where they are, and send gifs, images, and audio files as MMS messages.
With all of these improvements, we’re proud that the DNC brought over their full mobile program to our toolset to help power their dual-channel engagement program. We’re looking forward to continuing to expand the partnership with the DNC that helped power record-breaking fundraising to elect Democrats in the 2020 election cycle.
And last but definitely not least, I’m excited to announce new, lower prices to send Mobile Messages on Action Network! Woohoo, lower prices! We are always working with our outside vendors to drive the costs down for everyone and pass those savings on to our partners. None of this would be possible without you, our partners in the progressive movement. Thank you for all that you do.
In Solidarity,
Brian Young
