For too many politicians, stuff like this can go in one ear and out the other pretty quickly. But my parents raised me to believe that to be a true part of your community, it’s not enough just to keep your lawn nice or say “Hi!” at the grocery store. You need to actually listen to each other and work together to solve problems. One of the best parts of my job is getting to hear from folks like you. You see, the whole point of our re-election campaign was about us setting priorities together, and now we get to follow through on them as a team to make real progress. As I have always seen it, if you really listen to people, you’ll find everybody has a story worth hearing. Everybody has a problem worth working to solve. And when it comes to making big decisions as a community, everyone deserves a seat at the table. There's a lot we’ve already accomplished together, but our work is only getting started. If we want to make progress on issues from equality to climate change to health care, then we can’t afford to slow down anytime soon. Our commitment to the fights ahead is needed now more than ever. That's why it's so important to hear from you right now. Thanks for weighing in if you can. — Tina |
